Just a good weekend

Finally after 7 years we had to put new batteries in Mutual Fun. We had trojan t-105's but went with t -125's as they are the same foot print but more amps. Well close. After a little sawing and grinding with the dremil and many on lookers, they were in and ready to go. After doing a hydrometer check a few weeks back on the old batteries. It was discoverd a few cells were bad as now having an inverter it is critical to have good batteries.

The weather is finally starting to be more like summer but is still on the cool side for this time of year. But we will take it still. Saturday was a nice day with winds out of the NW 10 knts so it made for a nice day. Jeannie and I went out sailing after I went to Muskegon to look at a little electrical job on a boat. Gota support the cruising kitty somehow so I need to start now.

We had a few boats from the marina that was planing on anchoring out last weekend so we took of and sailed Lake Michigan for 7 miles up the coast then back to Indian bay in White Lake to anchor for the night. One of the things we did Friday night is that a lot on the dock had never seen the space station go over. So it was a good clear night Friday night and at 10:45 pm here it came. Many were very impressed as we got a 5 min viewing.

Once we got anchored and relaxed some. It was time to cook dinner. So I thought it would be a good time to try the inveter with our small microwave, as that is our biggest load we have onboard. Turned the inverter on and then the microwave and dam it, the alarm on the invert went off for low battery power. Now I was pissed and had to think what the h-ll. Now I was truley scratching me head and after shelling out over 700 buck for batteries and Jeannie would be asking I know what was going on. Afer resetting the invert a few times then it dawned on me tha the hot water heater was on. Click it goes off and then back to retrying the microwave, ahh yes no alam. Life is now good.
