Transition to Spring

Just is the last 2 weeks we are starting to see the slow change of weather patterns changing. One big plus for us is the amount of sun were seeing lately. It has been in the 90% bracket of available sun per day according to the local weather stations. Just 2 weeks ago we were digging out from a few major snow storms to now which has been in the 40's the last week. It is a warm welcome to see 40 degree's. I always say that 40 in the spring is warmer then 40 in the fall. Just a northern thing I guess.

Our focus is still on getting a few things done around our home as in new paint and carpet in a few rooms over this past winter. But for sure the project list for the boat is building.
It was a warm welcome to be able to go up to the boat yesterday and to see all was well. It weathered winter well once again. Of the biggest projects we have, will be stripping our bottom paint on the boat from a fresh water type to a salt water type. One of the things we picked up this winter and anxious to try out is a portable ice maker. It draws 2.8 amps when dispensing ice and 2.2 when making ice. Amp consumption is a big thing we look at when living on a boat.

One of the other signs that it is spring is the transition of the type of fishing. From ice fishing to being in boats. It is always weird to see this. Many have not believed us when we told them about seeing people in boats and a few feet away they are sitting on the ice and fishing.
It will be I bet less then 2 weeks and all ice will be gone here. Also we could hear the sand hill crane's once again. Good sign's.
